Bay Area Furniture Removal. Same-Day Couch Pickup.

The couch that won’t fit the new place, the sectional, the dresser upstairs. How it works

Furniture removal in 3 easy steps, from first photo to loaded truck.

  1. Show us what's going

A quick call, or a couple of photos through the form, is plenty. The couch, the bed frame, the dining set and its chairs: a list in your own words works just fine, and nobody needs a tape measure.

    A minute or two

  2. Get your free quote

We price by how much room the furniture takes up in the truck, never by the hour. Your quote is free, online or on the phone, and the crew confirms the exact price once they've seen the pieces, before anything is lifted.

    Free, no obligation

  3. Out it goes

Upstairs bedroom, back of the garage, corner of the living room. We carry every piece out from where it sits, through the tight doorways and down the stairs, and load it. If a bed frame or sectional needs to come apart to get through a door, the crew handles that too.

    Nothing for you to lift

Why book with us

Our team handles it. You don’t lift a thing.

We’re a family owned and operated crew, and furniture is most of what people ask us to carry. Sectional removal from a sunken living room, dresser removal from a second-floor bedroom, the old furniture pickup that comes with every move. Pieces that would cost you a borrowed truck, a spare friend and a sore back the next day are ordinary work for us. Because we price by space in the truck, a long carry or a tight staircase never adds to your bill.

  • Licensed and insured on every furniture pickup
  • Same-day and next-day, when a slot is open
  • Carried out from any room, stairs included
  • Bed frames and sectionals taken apart if needed
  • Good pieces go to a reuse partner first

Pricing, plainly

How much does it cost to haul away a couch?

It comes down to how much room it takes up in our truck. We price furniture removal by volume, not by the hour, so couch removal from a third-floor walk-up isn’t charged any differently because the stairs took longer. A loveseat takes up less space than a sectional, and the quote follows the space.

Single pieces have their own rates, so one couch is never priced like a full load. Quotes are free, online or over the phone. Tell us what’s going and we’ll give you a number, and the crew confirms the exact price once they’ve seen the furniture, before anything gets lifted.

  • Just the one piece

A heavy couch, a recliner, a bed frame. One piece can still be a two-person carry, so a single item is a real job here, with its own rate and the same crew you'd get for a whole house.

  • A room's worth

A bedroom set, a dining table and all its chairs, or the living room cleared out the day before the new furniture arrives. That's a lot of trips up and down the stairs, and we make every one of them.

  • Garage and storage pieces

The old cabinets, shelving units and patio sets that moved out to the garage to retire, and never came back in.

  • A whole home

Moving out, downsizing or clearing a family home. Every room's furniture in one booking, quoted as one job.

A photo beats measurements

Snap the pieces right where they sit. We can tell a loveseat from a three-seater faster than either of us can find a tape measure.

Why it lingers

Old furniture is hard to shift. Three reasons why.

The new sofa arrives, and the old one has nowhere to go. It’s rarely a question of wanting it gone. Furniture is bulky and hard to get a grip on, and every easy route has a catch. These are the three we hear about most.

  1. It won't fit in the car

A sectional, a sleeper sofa or a solid wood dresser doesn't go in the back of a hatchback, and most of it took two people to bring home in the first place. Getting it back out through a narrow hallway without scraping a wall or a doorframe is a tough job on its own. Sleeper sofas hide a folding steel frame and power recliners carry a motor, so they're heavier than they look, too.

  2. The curb isn't an option

In a lot of cities around here, a couch on the curb with a “Free” sign counts as illegal dumping unless a bulky-item pickup has been booked for it. Those pickups cap how many items you get and how often, and the next slot can be weeks out.

  3. Donation said no

Many donation spots can't accept upholstered pieces with stains, tears or pet damage, and most won't take a mattress at all. That's no reflection on the piece. It's simply what they're able to resell.

Rather donate it?

Here’s where to donate furniture in the Bay Area if a piece is in good shape. Habitat for Humanity’s ReStores take gently used furniture and resell it to fund their housing work. They have stores in the East Bay and South Bay, and you can book a donation pickup with them online. The Salvation Army and St. Vincent de Paul take furniture too, though what each store accepts varies.

Neighborhood Buy Nothing groups and Nextdoor are often the quickest route of all. And if you’d rather not deal with any of it, sofa disposal is what we’re here for, so give us a call.

Where it goes next

Every piece gets sorted after the pickup.

Furniture doesn’t all go to the same place. Some of it is still good, some of it is mostly metal, and some of it is genuinely done. Here’s the order we work through once your pieces are loaded.

  1. Good pieces rehomed

A solid dresser or a decent dining set is worth more in somebody's home than in a landfill, so anything in good shape goes to a reuse partner before anything else is decided.

  2. Metal to scrap

Bed rails, sleeper sofa mechanisms, metal desk frames and patio sets go to scrap, where the metal is melted down and used again.

  3. Mattresses recycled

Mattresses and box springs go into California's statewide recycling program, where most of them come apart for their steel, foam and fiber instead of being buried.

  4. Transfer station last

Only what genuinely had nowhere better to go ends up there. Mostly broken particleboard and worn-through upholstery, and we'd always rather that part was smaller.

Furniture removal FAQ

Good questions, honest answers.

Pricing, stairs, donating, and whether the couch can just go out on the curb. These are the things people ask us most before they book a furniture pickup.

  • It depends on how much room the couch takes up in the truck, not on how long it takes us to carry it out. A loveseat takes up less space than a sleeper sofa or a sectional, and a single couch has its own rate rather than being priced like a full load. Tell us what it is on the phone or through the form and you'll get a free quote, and the crew confirms the exact price once they've seen it, before anything gets lifted.

  • No. Leave it right where it is, whether that's the upstairs bedroom, the back of the garage or the corner of the living room. Carrying it out is the job, stairs and tight hallways included, so there's nothing to drag to the driveway before we get there.

  • Usually, yes. Most bed frames come apart at the rails and sectionals separate into their sections, and when a piece needs that to fit through a doorway, the crew takes care of it. If something is built in or fixed to a wall, mention it when you book and we'll talk it through with you.

  • In a lot of Bay Area cities, no. A couch on the curb with a "Free" sign counts as illegal dumping unless a bulky-item pickup has been booked for it, and the fine goes to whoever set it out. If it's in good shape, a Buy Nothing group or a charity donation pickup can find it a new home. And if you'd simply like it gone, that's exactly what we're here for.

  • Habitat for Humanity's ReStores take gently used furniture and resell it to fund their housing work, and you can book a donation pickup with them online. Charity thrift stores like the Salvation Army and St. Vincent de Paul take furniture too, and neighborhood Buy Nothing groups are often the quickest way to rehome a good piece. Many donation spots can't accept upholstered furniture with stains, tears or pet damage, and most won't take mattresses at all. If a piece doesn't qualify, or you'd rather not haul it yourself, we'll take it and send anything usable to a reuse partner.

  • Anything still in good shape goes to a reuse partner first, because a solid dresser or a decent dining set is worth more in someone's home than in a landfill. Metal frames go to scrap, mattresses go into California's recycling program, and only what genuinely has nowhere better to go ends up at the transfer station.

  • Absolutely. One recliner, one dresser, one couch that won't fit in the new place. Single pieces are a big part of our week, and they're priced on their own rather than as a full load. Same crew, same care, same free quote.
