Bay Area Construction Debris Removal. Same-Day Debris Hauling.

Demo always leaves more than the plan, and drywall, tile and lumber are a real strain to carry. Our construction debris removal crew brings the truck when the pile outgrows the bin, loads every bit of it and hauls it away, so your team stays on the build. We don’t do the demolition, just the cleanup after it, for contractors and homeowners anywhere across the East Bay, Tri-Valley, Peninsula and South Bay, and further out too.

Two real construction cleanups: remodel debris carried out and taken to the transfer station, and old ducting and scrap cleared from a commercial space. Every load goes out the same way, carried out by hand and hauled off by Junk Magik.

How it works

Construction debris removal in 3 steps, from dusty pile to clear site.

  1. Show us the pile

Call us, or send a few photos through the form. A shot of the pile and the path out to the street is plenty, even mid-demo with the dust still settling.

    A minute or two

  2. Get your quote, free

We quote by the space the debris takes in the truck, never by the hour, so a long carry from the back of the house won't change your number. The crew confirms the exact price on site before loading.

    Free by phone or online

  3. We load it and go

Our crew carries it out, loads it and hauls it off, so nobody on your side wakes up with a sore back the next day. Your own crew stays on the build, and the work area is open for the next trade.

Site clear for the next trade

Why crews call us

The pile grew. We bring the extra hands.

We’re a family owned and operated hauling crew, not a demolition company, and that’s the point. When a tear-out turns up more debris than anyone planned, the usual fixes are waiting on a dumpster swap, sending a carpenter on dump runs or hunting for day labor at short notice. Each one burns hours you’re already paying for. Junk Magik sends a truck and a crew that only load and haul, so demolition debris removal, drywall disposal and renovation debris come off your list and your people stay on the build. Priced by truck space rather than the clock, it’s an easy number to plan around.

  • Licensed and insured on every jobsite
  • A truck and crew without adding to payroll
  • Regular pickups as the debris builds up
  • Usable materials go to a reuse partner first
  • Priced by the load, never by the clock

Jobsite pricing

Priced by the load, not by the hours it takes.

Construction debris removal is quoted by how much room the debris takes up in our truck, not by how long the loading runs. A long carry from the backyard or three flights of stairs is our problem rather than a line on your bill, and that makes the number easy to drop into a bid or a budget.

Small loads have their own rates, so a few bags of offcuts are never priced like a full kitchen. Quotes are free online or by phone, and the crew confirms the exact price on site before anything is loaded. On a longer job, ask about regular pickups, and Junk Magik keeps the site clear without anyone on your crew turning into a hauler.

  • A few bags and boards

Drywall offcuts, a stack of old baseboards, a handful of contractor bags. Small loads have their own rate, and we're glad to come out for them.

  • One room's tear-out

A bathroom with the old vanity, tub surround and tile, or a bedroom with the carpet and pad pulled up. Heavier than it looks, and a lot of trips down the stairs.

  • A full remodel

Kitchen cabinets, countertops, drywall, flooring and framing scraps from a whole-house job. More than one trip if it needs it, and we quote it together.

  • An ongoing jobsite

Long projects pile up in waves. We can come back on a regular schedule as the debris builds, so your crew never has to stop work to haul.

Snap the pile from where the truck would park. It tells us more than a list, and nobody expects a tidy jobsite.

Why debris piles up

Every remodel makes debris. Here’s why it’s hard to clear.

A tear-out never comes with an exact debris count, and the usual ways of getting rid of it all have a catch. These are the three questions people ask us most, answered straight, and where Junk Magik fits in.

  1. Demo always runs bigger

Nobody can measure what's behind a wall until it's open. A second layer of flooring, old plaster under the drywall, a subfloor that has to go. The pile ends up bigger than the plan, and no jobsite can conjure an extra truck or two more laborers by lunchtime. That's the gap Junk Magik fills, with same-day trucks when the schedule allows.

  2. Dumpster or haul-away?

A roll-off bin is handy when debris trickles out over weeks, but it needs room on the driveway or a street permit, it tends to fill at the worst moment, and someone still has to wheelbarrow every load up and over the side. With a haul-away, our crew does the carrying and loading and nothing sits out front. Plenty of jobs use both, and we're happy to take whatever the bin couldn't.

  3. Will the city pick it up?

Usually not. City bulky-item pickups are built for household things like a couch or a mattress, and most leave construction and demolition debris out. California's building code (CALGreen) also sets a 65 percent recycling target for construction waste on most new builds and many permitted remodels, so it can't simply go in the cart. That's exactly the kind of load Junk Magik is set up to haul.

A few things we can’t load

Some materials from older buildings count as hazardous and have to go through a licensed specialist rather than a general hauler. If you’re not sure about something on your site, give us a call and we’ll tell you straight away.

Everything else the remodel left behind, from the drywall to the old cabinets, Junk Magik is glad to take off your hands.

After the haul

Where construction debris goes once it leaves your site.

Remodel debris is mostly wood, drywall, metal and masonry, and a good share of it can be used again. Here’s the order a Junk Magik load moves through after we pull away.

  1. Usable materials first

Leftover lumber, unopened boxes of tile and cabinets still in good shape go to a reuse partner before anything else, so they end up in somebody else's project.

  2. Metal to scrap

Pipe, wire, ductwork, old fixtures and anything else metal comes out of the load and goes to scrap, where it gets melted down and used again.

  3. Debris sorted for recycling

Drywall, wood scraps, flooring, brick and tile go to a transfer station that sorts construction loads, so the recyclable share stays out of the landfill.

  4. Landfill last

Whatever genuinely can't be reused or recycled. It's the part we work to keep small, and it goes last for a reason.

Let’s get the site cleared.

Construction debris FAQ

Remodeling or mid-demo? Here are the answers.

Cost, timing, what we take and what we don’t. These are the questions contractors and homeowners ask Junk Magik before they book.

  • It depends on how much space the debris takes up in our truck, not on how long the job takes. Small loads have their own rate, and a full remodel is quoted by volume. Quotes are free online or by phone, and the crew confirms the exact price on site before anything goes on the truck.

  • Yes, when a slot is open. Same-day and next-day slots do come up, so give us a call as soon as the bin fills or the pile outgrows the plan. The earlier in the day you call, the better the odds of getting a truck out that afternoon.

  • Drywall, lumber, framing scraps, flooring, carpet and pad, tile, brick, cabinets, countertops, old fixtures and the general mess a tear-out leaves behind. A few materials count as hazardous and need a licensed specialist instead, so if you're unsure about anything, just ask when you book.

  • No, we're a hauling crew, not a demolition contractor. Your contractor or your own crew handles the tear-out, and we come in after to carry out, load and haul away everything it left behind.

  • You can rent a dumpster, or load a truck and take it to a transfer station that accepts construction and demolition debris. Both work, but they mean hours of loading, a vehicle that can handle the weight and usually more than one trip. If you'd rather skip all of that, Junk Magik will load it and haul it away for you.

  • Yes. On a longer remodel or build we can come back on a regular schedule as the debris builds up, so the site stays clear and nobody on your crew has to stop and load a truck.

  • Absolutely. A few bags of drywall offcuts or one bathroom's worth of tile is a real job for us, with its own rate. You don't need a full remodel to give us a call.

  • Someone should show us where the debris is and what's staying, but you don't need to watch the whole job. Plenty of contractors walk us through, get back to work and come back to a clear spot.
