What we take

Junk removal covering every corner.

From one stubborn couch to a whole property. Tell us roughly what you have and you’ll get an affordable estimate before the truck leaves the yard.

  • A couch, armchair, dresser, bookcase, coffee table and rolled rug set out together on a gravel driveway

    Furniture Removal

Couches, sectionals, dressers, dining sets. Nothing needs moving outside first, we carry it out from wherever it sits, stairs included. Anything still in good shape gets donated.

    • Sofas & Chairs
    • Dressers & Desks
  • A washer, dryer, refrigerator with its doors open, dishwasher and electric range standing on a gravel driveway

    Appliance Removal

Fridges, washers, dryers, stoves, water heaters. Heavy, awkward and easy to hurt yourself on, so leave them where they are. Refrigerant units are handled separately.

    • Fridges & Washers
    • Water Heaters
  • Four stained mattresses and a box spring stacked on a gravel driveway, with a fifth mattress leaning upright against the stack

    Mattress Removal

Mattresses and box springs, any size, picked up from the bedroom, the garage or the storage unit rather than the curb. California runs a statewide recycling program, so most come apart for materials.

    • Any Size
    • Box Springs
  • Cardboard boxes, a child's bicycle, a lawn mower, a treadmill, storage totes, an aluminum ladder, a garden hose and a toolbox grouped on a gravel driveway

    Garage & Home Cleanouts

Floor to rafters, including the shelf you cannot reach. You do not sort it first. Point at what stays, we take the rest, and the slab gets swept before we pull out.

    • Garage Clears
    • Whole-Home
  • A pile of cut branches and brush with bundled limbs, rolls of sod, raked leaves, weathered fence panels, a broken trellis and an old patio chair on a gravel driveway

    Yard Debris Removal

Branches, brush, sod, leaves, old patio furniture, fence panels and planters. Green waste stays out of the mixed load so it can be composted.

    • Brush & Branches
    • Patio Furniture
  • A china cabinet, dresser, cedar chest, floor lamp, wingback armchair with a folded quilt, stacked boxes and framed pictures turned face-in, set out on a gravel driveway

    Estate Cleanouts

Clearing a property after a loss is hard work at a hard time. We go at your pace, with room to set things aside as you decide, and we are not charging by the hour while you do it.

    • Estate Clears
    • Move-Outs
  • A pile of old electronics on a gravel driveway including a CRT television, flat-screen monitors, desktop towers, printers, keyboards, a cracked tablet and tangled cables

    E-Waste Removal

TVs, monitors, computers, printers and cables. Electronics are banned from California landfills, so this goes through certified recycling. Qualifying commercial jobs can get a Certificate of Recycling or Destruction.

    • TVs & Monitors
    • Certified Recycling
  • A disused backyard hot tub with a weathered wood skirt and a torn cover pulled halfway back, holding standing water and fallen leaves

    Hot Tub Removal

The heaviest thing in most back yards. Drained, cut down on the pad and carried out in sections. Electrical has to be disconnected first, so tell us what is there and we will say what needs doing beforehand.

    • Drained & Cut
    • Pad Left Clear
  • A kitchen mid-demolition with a pile of torn-out drywall on the floor, stripped wall studs, a stepladder, debris buckets and a shop vacuum

    Construction Debris

Eligible wood, drywall, flooring and old fixtures from renovation and demo, homeowners and contractors both. Clean single-material loads tip cheaper than mixed ones, and we will tell you which one you actually have.

What we can’t

None of this can legally ride in a general hauler’s load. Better you hear it now than in the driveway.

  • Paint, solvents, motor oil and fuel
  • Propane tanks and pressurised cylinders
  • Asbestos, and anything suspected of containing it
  • Medical, biohazard and sharps waste
  • Ammunition, fireworks and explosives
  • Loose or leaking chemicals of any kind

Every Bay Area county runs a household hazardous waste drop-off, and most take this free from residents. Tell us what you’ve got and we’ll point you at the nearest one.

How it goes

Four steps, and you lift none of it.

From the first photo to a swept slab. Most jobs run start to finish inside a couple of hours, and same-day and next-day pickups are normal across the East Bay, and regular out to the Tri-Valley, Peninsula and South Bay.

  1. Send a photo

Send pictures through our simple online form of the pile, the garage, the room. A rough description over the phone works too — we have seen the garage before.

  2. Get the number

A fair and competitive price based on the space it takes in the truck, before anyone is dispatched. Nothing is added once we arrive.

  3. Point at it

You show us what is going. Nothing leaves that you have not pointed at, and anything you are still deciding on stays.

  4. Loaded and swept

We carry it out and sweep the slab before we pull away. The load gets sorted on our end, not yours.

How pricing works

You pay for the space it takes.

Junk removal gets priced one of two ways: by the hour, or by the volume the load occupies. We price by volume, because it is the one you can check before you agree to it.

A mattress is mostly air and a box of floor tile is mostly not. Charging by weight would punish you for the wrong loads, so the truck bed is the measure. Stairs, a long carry and a blocked curb costs you nothing, because we are not on the clock.

How Junk Magik works with you

The price before the truck

You get a fair estimate up front and the confirmed price on site, before anything goes on the truck.

Priced by volume

You pay for the space the load takes in the truck. Not by the hour, so a slow carry is our problem.

Same-day and next-day

Call in the morning and it is usually gone before you sit down to eat.

Reuse before landfill

Anything still usable goes to a reuse partner first. Green waste and e-waste leave the mixed load.

Why Junk Magik

We take the whole job, start to swept.

Junk Magik is a junk removal and hauling service based in Hayward, working across the Bay Area for homeowners, property managers and contractors. You tell us what is going, we do the lifting, and the load gets sorted on our end so it does not end up in one pile at the landfill.

  • Full-service removal, not curbside pickup

Nothing has to be moved outside first. We carry it down from the attic, out of the side yard, up from the basement, and off the third floor.

  • Homes and businesses, same service

Single items, full-property cleanouts, office and warehouse clears, apartment turnovers. One team on the job, one number, one invoice.

  • Sorted for reuse and recycling

Usable furniture goes to a reuse partner. Green waste, e-waste and metal leave the mixed load and go where they belong.

Before you call

The things people always ask.

Straight answers, including the ones that cost us money.

  • You pay for the space the load takes in the truck, not the hours we spend on it. Tell us roughly what you have and you'll get an estimate on the phone — a real number at a competitive rate, not a starting-at. We confirm it on site once we can see the load, and that's what you pay.

  • No. Leave it exactly where it is. Point at what's going, tell us what's staying, and we'll do the carrying. Sorting happens on our end after the truck leaves, and it isn't something you pay extra for.

  • Same-day and next-day slots go quickly, but they're there. Call in the morning and there's a good chance it's gone before you sit down to eat.

  • Hayward is where the truck sleeps, not the limit of where it goes. We work across the East Bay every week, and out to the Tri-Valley, the Peninsula and the South Bay regularly. Call with your address — if we can get to you, we'll say so.

  • Yes. One couch that won't go down the stairs is a job. So is a whole house. Same crew, same fair rate, priced up front.

  • Paint, solvents, motor oil and fuel, propane tanks and pressurised cylinders, asbestos, medical or biohazard waste, and ammunition or fireworks. None of it can legally ride in a general hauler's load. Set it aside and we'll point you at your county's household hazardous waste drop-off.

  • Anything still usable goes to a reuse partner first. Mattresses go into California's statewide recycling program, electronics go to an approved recycler because they're banned from landfill here, and green waste is kept out of the mixed load. What's genuinely left goes to the transfer station.

  • Yes, both. Ask and we'll send the paperwork over before the truck arrives.

Where we work

Across the Bay Area, wherever the truck reaches.

The East Bay is where we run most weeks, and the truck goes out to the Tri-Valley, the Peninsula and the South Bay too. If your city is not on the list, ask. It usually still works.
